Changes to Selection for the 2027 intake

The Regulations for Selection to the AOA 21 Training Program for the 2027 intake have been published.

As most members are aware, the Selection process is reviewed on an annual basis. The FTC strives for a balanced approach, with consideration for the needs of the community, members, training program, and regulatory standards in developing a fair and comprehensive Selection process. To maintain consistency, in 2026 the FTC will continue using interviews and verbal referee reports introduced in 2023, and the orthopaedic multiple choice question (OMCQ) test introduced in 2025.

More information on the OMCQ can be found on the OMCQ test information sheet.
