AOA President Dr Annette Holian said Professor Stephen Graves had provided strong leadership to develop and grow the registry and was key in driving its contribution to the development of registry science and patient outcomes for the benefit of all joint replacement patients.
“Professor Graves has strengthened AOA’s contributions in a number of areas, not least in leading the development of the registry to become fully national in mid 2002. Stephen was also integral to securing funding from the Federal Department of Health in 2009 to ensure the longevity of financial support to the AOANJRR.
“As the AOANJRR’s first Clinical Director, we thank Stephen for his valuable contribution to registry science and patient outcomes and wish him every success in the next stage of his career.”
Professor Graves is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading experts in joint replacement surgery and has an extensive research and policy development track record.
