About ALLARS
The Australian Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society (ALLARS) is an association of orthopaedic surgeons, nursing and allied health professionals who specialise in the biological reconstruction of the musculoskeletal system with special reference to the analysis and understanding of deformity, its effect on function and the methods by which these problems can be rectified.
We focus on training and education, scientific meetings and the sharing of experience in hand with our allied health and nursing colleagues with whom we work closely.
Deformity analysis, biomechanics and bone repair and regeneration are central to this specialty, which covers paediatric and adult practice across the full range of human pathology, which includes but not limited to congenital and acquired deformities, limb length inequality, trauma reconstruction, management of chronic infection, oncological reconstruction and biological joint reconstruction.
Meetings
Annual scientific meetings are held in February of each year.
