The 2.5 millionth procedure was recorded by the Registry on 20 March 2026 and was a hip replacement performed in Victoria.
This achievement marks an extraordinary milestone in the Registry’s history, reflecting now 26 years of comprehensive data collection and analysis. Since its establishment in 1999, the AOANJRR has become a vital national resource, tracking outcomes and providing insights that have significantly advanced orthopaedic practice and improvements in patient care in Australia.
