We are delighted to welcome you to APOA2025 and greatly appreciate your contribution to the program.

As a speaker, please take the time to review the important details outlined below.

Should you have any questions in regards to your presentation please reach out to the Section Chairs of the specific session.

Program & Venue

The APOA 2025 program is extensive, so please ensure you check the PROGRAM to confirm your presentation sessions, dates, and times.

Venue:    Cairns Convention Centre, Mezzanine Level, all meeting rooms are located on this level and close to each other

Attire:     Business Attire

Presentation Requirements

All PowerPoint presentations must be in widescreen (16:9) format to optimize display quality.

To adjust in PowerPoint: File > Page Setup > Slides Sized For: ‘On-screen Show (16:9)’.

Apple users:Please note that Keynote is not supported at this meeting.

We discourage the use of custom fonts. If necessary, please bring the font files with your presentation to the Speakers’ Preparation Room.

If your presentation includes embedded videos, refer to Microsoft’s guide for embedding videos into PowerPoint.

Presentation Timing

Please adhere to your allocated presentation time.

A countdown timer will be visible during your talk.

A bell will ring one minute before your presentation time concludes—please ensure you wrap up promptly

Disclosure Policy

All speakers must include the APOA Declaration of Interests slide as the second slide of their presentation.

This slide must remain on-screen for at least five seconds.

Speakers’ Room

All presenters must upload their presentations at least two hours before their scheduled session. Personal laptops cannot be used. 

A USB drive is required to upload your presentation. On stage, you will have access to presenter notes and a laser pointer/clicker.

Please meet at 6.20pm main entrance of the Cairns Convention Centre (bottom of the stairs) for an Indigenous Welcome Ceremony which will commence at 6.30pm.

Attire: Business Attire (no black Tie)

Namebadges - Please wear your name badges during the Congress Catering

Attire - Buisness Attire

Catering- All catering will occur in the Exhibition Area (Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea (Thurs&Friday) Morning Tea only on Saturday)

Wifi  - Free Wi-Fi is available in the centre, The free Wi-Fi is designed for web browsing and checking web based emails.
