- Ongoing integration of the AOA Ethical Framework throughout the Association’s activities and governing documents and the incorporation of ethics sessions in Bone School
- The launch of the AOA CPD App
- The formation of the AOA Champions of Change Working Group
- Increasing recognition from across the country and around the world for the Association’s work in training, ethics, diversity and registry development
- Technological developments to allow easy online event registration and abstract submission
- The creation of the AOA Advertising Complaints Subcommittee
- Unprecedented activity in relation to promoting and enabling diversity, spearheaded by the OWL Committee
- The formation of the Australian Ethical Health Alliance to guide the implementation of the Australian Consensus Framework and AOA’s leading role within its steering committee
- The launch in July 2018 of the AOA Research Foundation Strategic Plan 2018–2023
- The AOANJRR’s continued recognition as a world leader in joint registries
- Renewed activity in governance education, with workshops delivered to members and extended upon request to other bodies around the country.
